Review: Conscious Box.

Yes, I've already told you I'm super swamped with reviews (not to mention, life in general) so please don't act surprised with this one. I've had this little gem under my belt since September and even subscribed to the box for several months before getting overwhelmed with everything and putting it on the back burner for a bit. I stumbled across this box via my Instagram feed -- @consciousbox and @consciousbite -- and it's what started my quest and obsession with subscription boxes. After doing a ton of research, I've also found that it's the highest recommended box out there for eco-friendly and healthy items.

Details: Conscious Box is a month to month membership that runs $12 + $7.95/shipping and handling -- and it's all run thru PayPal. You can save $3 dollars if you do a 3 month membership and $8 dollars if you do a 6 month plan. Each month, you get a box crammed with goodies ranging from personal care to healthy snacks. They now also have a Vegan box and just recently a Gluten Free edition of their membership. All their literature in the box (and the box itself) are 100% recycled and they give you a cute postcard to send to someone special each time. All inks are made from veggies and the labels are BPA-free. Lastly, they give 1% of the profits of the box back to the planet.

September Conscious Box:  Jovial Einkorn Penne Pasta + a coupon, Wild Rose Aromatherapy, Avalon Organics Body Lotion and a Shower Gel, 100% Pure Body Lotions, Joy's Teaspoon loose leaf tea, Amazing Grass Original Blend packet, Defend dietary supplement packet, a jar of Healthforce SuperFoods Vitamineral Green, a Artisana Raw Coconut Butter sample and some Barlean's Omega-3 Fish Oil Packets.

September Vegan Conscious Box: a couple of Madecasse Chocolates, Funky Monkey freeze dried fruit packet, a HappySqueeze Orange Mango Coconut Milk squeeze packet, Ancient Minerals Magnesium Oil spray, Kelapo Virgin Coconut Oil, Artisana Goji & Milk Thistle Nut Butter, some Clean Well Disinfectant Wipes with some literature, Vaska Laundry Detergent sample, C3* for Stress, Vega Sport Pre-Workout Energizer,  and several samples of Teeccino Coffee's. It their first ever Vegan Box and it was curated by Brendan Braizer who is a former Ironman Triathlon and formulator of Vega.

October Conscious Box: a packet of Zarbee's all-natural children's cough syrup (amazing stuff for kids 2 and under), a stick of Geodeo deodorant (97% all natural), 6 GoodLight natural tea light candles, a couple Yummy Earth grape lollipops, a Crum Creek Soy Nut Mix, a junior sized Bumble Bar, a Larabar in Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough (epic), a packet of VitaRocks (think Poprocks with vitamins), some bags of loose leaf tea by Teatulia and a bag of Dippers in Curry & Mango. Plus there was literature for free music downloads. My favorite thing out of the whole box was Clandestino Candy's Banana Bar in Milk Chocolate. I'll be doing a review on this one by itself soon.

November Conscious Box: Justin's Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups (my all-time favorite!), SweetLeaf Sweet Drops in Vanilla Creme (a stevia-based sweetner), a small container of Simply Organic minced onions for cooking with, a tube of Avalon Organics chapstick, a small bag of Lush Nuts, Pamela's Baking & Pancake Mix, L'Ecuyer's Gourmet Caveman Rub, various Teeccino coffees, some Organic India Tulsi Tea samples, a small jar of Rare Hawaiian Organic White Honey and a bag of Freekeh Whole Grains.

Final Thoughts: This is definitely a win-win of a box. I loved that they were jam packed every month with a ton of stuff and had a great variety of items. And the value of the box far surpasses the price of the subscription. I know once I get caught up with everything, this will be a monthly splurge again for me.
